Please click here for a rules amendment that will be implemented immediately. This will probably not apply to local outdoor leagues but if you are umpiring Regional League and above and EN events you should keep this in your Rules Book.
Umpires Attire - Click here to download PDF

At MMNL we have a range of experienced and less experienced umpires from Beginners to A Award who umpire regularly every week at our league. Alison Bisset heads up our umpiring section and comes with a wealth of experience. She is an A Award, an assessor and regularly turns out to umpire (across all the divisions). She runs courses for Kent Netball, organises Rules Forum and still finds time to mentor and progress umpires on.
She is helped by Caroline Duggan and Carol Parlour. Carol works with beginners up to Division 3. Then individuals who wish to progress to the next award (which is the C award), will be assisted and supported by Alison and Caroline will work with and prepare these umpires to their C award and ultimately, their B award.
At MMNL we are committed to mentoring and supporting all umpires who would like this support, ensuring that everyone maintains a good standard, regardless, of their qualification. With this in mind, we have recently introduced an assessment programme for umpires wanting to umpire in Premier and Division 1. This has proved very successful and resulted in more umpires wanting to progress.
